My goals

For next year

• I would like to make my GPA higher than this year and work hard in my projects in order to achieve this wish

• I hope that my group members are helpful and learn from their mistakes that they did in this year

• The communication is to be good to avoid any lateness for our projects submission

• I wish that I success all my courses and graduate with high GPA

• Make my parents feel proud of me

• I hope all these wishes (short tram goals) to be achieved


Long term goals after College

• I wish that I find a great job in a good place that appreciate my degree

• I hope to be an efficient person in my work place and a successful women in my society that give back a fever to my country

• Still communicate and contact with my friends because there are some students who are graduated, they forget their friends and sometime ignore them

The most significant thing(s) that I learned this year

Throughout this year, I learnt many different things. Such as I knew how to create a website as we have done three different websites during the year. Plus I learnt how to make it professional and friendly-use. For example, we created a website for Tejari project to introduce our product which was blended beans and coffee. Second, we did a website in the exam for IT course then we created a good website about e-media plan for specific consulting company.

Another thing that I learned is that I improved my computer skills as I hate computer device but I am an e-commerce student, I have to use this great invention to finish my work and to save my time. There is no doubt that this device has changed our life and makes it easier plus it saves our time.

The most significant thing that I knew is that, I have a good background about the internet security software. Because before we got a project about internet security, I had no idea about the best security software that could protect the computer from any viruses and hackers. Then I knew that there are many different types of dangerous viruses that could damage the computer or steal any important information or files.

Change any aspect of the program

E-commerce program is such a good major that can improve my skills either practical by using computer device or gaining me good information about business. Only this major depends on projects and can evaluate our performance by how good we are in doing these projects. The class time is very good as we start at 9:00 am and sometime when we have a launch; we start at 10:00 am and finish at 12:50 pm which is approximately 5 hours a day that is a great feature in e-commerce.

However, I would like to change the topics that we get. As most of our projects are written and need more research. If we have something practical like men’s college projects, it would be good and it can change the routine. Because by practical we can learn many different things and we can improve our weak skills. A case of point, we did a practical one (Tejari) project we supposed that we had a company and we created a website to introduce and sell our product. Then, we sold that product online because it was the first time that we sell and buy online, we made less profit. From this project, we gained an experience on how to decide on the prices and make it affordable for other retailers. As a result of this, we implement what we have learned and made it true.

This kind of projects would be interesting and could make a challenge among the students and let them create the best that they can.

My performance throughout the year

During semester 1, my performance was excellent as my GPA was above 3 and I was happy and satisfied of what I have got. Because I worked hard, did well in my assessments. Plus my group members were co-operated and helped each other. I was proud of myself as I have gotten what I deserve although there were more than 10 projects in that semester.

On the other hand, I was shocked of what I’ve gotten in this semester as my performance was not good as semester 1 and my GPA goes gown. Moreover, a member of my team wasn’t co-operating with us as this could affect my performance and my other group members too. Also the communication was weak as sometime some members switch off their mobile for personal issue so that, we could not contact with them.

Another cause of affecting my performance was IT course as I got low grad in as assessment of this course and this affected my GPA too.

Group Process

At the beginning of semester 1, I have done a learning style quiz that could let me know what my learning style is. The result shows that I am a visual learner that means I can learn by my eyes. For example, for IT I used to see first then do what I have seen (practical) but that does not mean I am not a good team worker. As I prefer working individual and there is no problem to work in a group. Because there are many advantages of working in a team first, work will be easier and could save our time as each of team members could take a task and do it then gather all tasks and prepare or organize the work.

So that, working and helping each other would be good and could make us trust in each other and build confidence among team members. However, since I worked in a group, I learnt and faced many different problems and conflicts. As sometime, some members do not attend a meeting that we have planned to divide our tasks so that, this makes me change the plan or give them tasks that they don’t like. Plus I faced a conflict with a member of my group because she did not communicate with us and her part was too late for submission although I gave her a deadline to finish her part. As a result of this, I knew how to be a bit strict with my group members and also I knew how to be more patient and not to lose my control.

The thing that I did not do it well was managing my time; I make a good time plan and a good deadline for our project but my group members take more time which that force me to change the plan a bit. So that, I hope in next year my group members be more responsible and reliable and of course finish our project on time.

My favorite projects for both semesters 1 and 2:

During semester 1, we got different projects and all of them were good and needed hard work. However, my favorite project was (Creating A Brand) because it was about creating a new brand for a specific business. Plus I learned how to think about the time that you need to create a new brand for your business and what type of product could you make and sell in business market that should be under the trade mark.

In semester 2, there were no studies pressure and also there were less than 14 projects that we have to do during this semester. So, I like (Understanding & Using Google Tools) because I did not have a background about these tools by using Google and since I learnt these tools, I got good experience and knew how to use them. Moreover, I discovered there was Google Talk tool which is similar to messenger that first you have to make an account in Gmail then you can add your friends address and chat with them either by voice call or written chat.

My least favorite project:

The project that I didn’t like in this semester was (Access) because I did not get good grad and this could affect my GPA. I was planning to make it high but since I got this low grad, I was disappointed and frustrated. Furthermore, our instructor didn’t explain what exactly we have to do as he said there was no time to explain all the material and we did not have any practice or source. So that, I hope not get this kind of practical project again.

About E-Commerece

E-Commerce refers to electronic commerce or electronic marketing that consists of buying and selling via electronic device or system (internet or computer network). This can benefit more customers especially other companies that deal with such an online company. E-commerce can saves people time and can make the business easy to reach and fast. A case in point, e-retailers can sell their products to customers online and the customers can buy whatever they want by using this electronic device without bothering about the time.
